Quotes to Change Your Life (and no im not being dramatic) ​

We have all been down before and looked to our pinterest board of quotes to cheer us up. While sometimes words are not the perfect pick me up, many times they are. More times than not the perfect quote can change your perspective in just the right way. Here are some of my favorite quotes for a rainy day!

When I heard this in the "Taking Back Your Power" podcast and I paused it and ran to my journal. I NEEDED to write this down. Focusing on the bad with bring more bad into your life, and you don't need that.

This is such an important thing for me to remember. Fun fact about me: Im 19 and have never had a serious relationship. That terrifies me. I need to constantly remind myself that my timeline is different from my roommates, my mom, my sister, and everyone else's. We all get to things at our own time, but it will happen for all of us.

This one is amazing, not only if you are going through a break up but also if you are in a fight with a friend. I have been there when friendships have gone south, and this is an amazing thing to remember. If you have mutual friends or still see each other often it is important to forgive, but not forget. Don't let people hurt you over and over again. Second chances are fair, but fifth chances aren't. Love yourself and don't let the same person hurt you over and over again.

There is no point in dwelling on the past, it has already happened. The only thing you have control over is the present moment. If you make a change now, you will see this change in the future.

I think it is very important to value friendships and remember how important it is to take time out of your schedule to spend time with your friends. Friends make life so much better!

I don't usually take advice for Carrie Bradshaw (unless it comes to shoes) but this quote is worth thinking about. Self love is so important in any relationship, and the most important relationship you have is the one with yourself. If you do not love yourself, you are showing others that it is ok for them not to love you either.
